I didn't get an email
For: Pilots · Hangar admins · Mechanics
pilotadminmechanicStart with your spam or junk folder, and search your mail for “RampMates”. Every RampMates email has it in the subject. Then find your case below.
A notification never arrives
Section titled “A notification never arrives”- It’s switched off. Open Notifications (the bottom of the sidebar, or the More tab on a phone) and check the subject’s Email switch. See Choose what you’re notified about.
- You’re looking at the wrong hangar’s settings. They’re set separately for each hangar you’re in. The page is headed with the hangar it applies to.
- It was about something you did. RampMates doesn’t email you about a squawk you reported or resolved, or a flight you logged yourself. Bookings are the exception: you get a confirmation for your own, even one you made.
- It was about an aircraft you can’t fly. Squawks, oil, inspections and flights logged only go to members with access to that aircraft. See Seeing an aircraft vs. flying it.
- It’s the daily summary. It only comes on a morning after something happened in the hangar. A quiet day means no email.
- It’s Anyone’s bookings. Only hangar admins get it, and it’s off until they turn it on for themselves.
The invitation didn’t arrive
Section titled “The invitation didn’t arrive”Look for You’re invited to Hangar: … on RampMates. If it isn’t there, ask your hangar admin to check the address they typed and send it again from Members. A new invitation works just like the first.
If sending failed, the admin sees “Could not send invite email” on the screen straight away, so they’ll know to try again.
The invitation link doesn’t work
Section titled “The invitation link doesn’t work”An invitation link works for 7 days. If the page says “This link is missing its token. Use the link from your invite email.”, the address got cut off, often when a link is copied by hand. Press the button in the email instead.
Other problems show under the password box when you press Create account:
- “Token has expired” – the link is too old. Ask your hangar admin to send a new invitation.
- “Invalid token” – the link got damaged on the way. Press the button in the email rather than copying the address.
- “This invite has already been used” – you’ve already joined that hangar. Sign in instead. Forgot the password? Reset it.
- “This invite link is no longer valid – ask for a new one” or “This hangar no longer exists” – ask your hangar admin.
- “That email already has a RampMates account – sign in with its password to accept” – enter the password you already use for RampMates, not a new one. See Belonging to more than one hangar.
The password reset didn’t arrive
Section titled “The password reset didn’t arrive”After you press Send reset link, RampMates says “If that email is registered, a reset link is on its way.” whether or not it knows the address. If nothing comes, check you typed the address you sign in with.
A reset link works for 1 hour, and only once. Asked more than once? Use the newest email. An old link says “Token has expired” or “This reset link has already been used” – ask for a fresh one. See Reset your password.
The link to confirm a new email address didn’t arrive
Section titled “The link to confirm a new email address didn’t arrive”It goes to the new address, not the one you sign in with now. The green note on Your account names where it went – if that has a typo, press Change email and send it again to the right one. A link that says “This link has expired or has already been used.” is dead; your address hasn’t changed, so ask for a new one. See Change your email address.
